A typical Average Singaporean

A typical Average Singaporean
Some people complain about the monotonous and structured life they have. But what are they doing about it? Don't many of us just settle down into the comfort zone? Breaking away is always tough, taking the step out is never easy. "A ship will never discover new shore unless it loses sight of the shore". I think it goes something like tt.. u get the idea.

I was reading the sgForum about this guy deciding to drive from Bangkok to SG with some of his thai friends. There were a mixture of reaction in the replies. Some were saying "you're crazy!! People invented the plane and you choose to drive. Its like walking instead of driving!!"

Life is not a destination, but a journey... do we miss out alot in our lives as we hurry by?

As someone once said to me, " to choose a narrow path with a broad mind or to choose a broad path with a narrow mind." Taking the path less travelled can be lonely, but it will broaden your pespective of the things around you. One seems to be jsut conforming to society as he chooses to take the safer path that everyone else is travelling on.

But travelling on that lonely path, sacrifices were made... Forced by circumstances rather than by choice, Regrets? A little at times... but moving on...
